Irish Toasts for New Year’s Eve
Las Vegas Review Journal – December 2009
Magazine of Summerlin – December 2005 – Top 10 Things About Summerlin
The text in the article above is too small to read, so we’ve re-typed it below:
“The sounds of Ireland are always flowing, as is the Guinness, at J.C. Wooloughan Irish Pub inside the JW Marriott Resort thanks to John Windsor.
The English-born Windsor began his singing career in the late 1960’s and made Las Vegas his permanent home in 1992. He’s performed in just about every Irish pub in town, but it’s at J.C. Wooloughan where he has a loyal following.
Sure he’s an outstanding guitarist, singer and harmonica player, but it’s his quick wit and ability to adapt to the audience that makes Windsor one of our favorite things about Summerlin.
Stop in J.C. Wooloughan, have a Guinness and join John Windsor for a classic Irish sing-a-long.”

Top O’ the Evening
No Blarney at Brendan’s
by Greg Cheeseman
“The booze started to take hold and musician John Windsor hit the stage. With a great voice and talent for the guitar, Windsor captured the attention of Brendan’s, now packed with people streaming in from the pool party.
…We got our Irish music fix with Windsor’s strong cover of the Pogue’s ‘Dirty Old Town’…
…As Windsor ended his first set, he left the stage with some words I felt were particularly prophetic for Brendan’s. ‘May the good Lord take a liking to you. But not too soon…Not too soon.’”
